About the Author

Steve Fallon, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, can't remember a time when he was not obsessed with travel, other cultures, and languages. After graduating from Georgetown University with a degree in linguistics, he taught English in then-Communist Poland. The "new Asia" took him to Hong Kong, where he worked as a journalist and travel writer for twelve years; the "new Eastern Europe" then enticed him to Budapest for another three years. Based in London since 1994, Steve has written or contributed to more than a hundred guidebooks. He is also a qualified London Blue Badge Tourist Guide.
